RAV 2008
WHAT IS RAV?
RAV (Racing and Volunteering) is a program the Chicago Tri Club developed
to help foster a sense of club unity and to encourage giving back to the
triathlon community - by racing and volunteering. RAV is about participation,
not competition.
RAV POINTS DISTRIBUTION 2008 SEASON
Below is the point distribution for the 2008 RAV series. This year earning
10 or more points will entitle you to an additional level of benefits
within the club, such as added discounts with our sponsors, schwag, and
many others to be announced throughout the year. You will need a minimum
of 15 points in order to participate in the year end raffle. Points are
earned by either competing in one of the races or volunteering in one
of the activities listed below. Points will be awarded not only for volunteering
at races, but for participation in one of the club's many committees,
or one of our philanthropic activities (like Girls on the Run).
RAV RULES:
In order to earn points for a racing or volunteering opportunity, you
must be a Chicago Tri Club Member at the time of the event and on the
day of the raffle.
To earn points, you must add your name to the Who's Racing/Who's
Volunteering Section of the Club Race List (PRIOR TO THE DAY OF THE RACE-NO
EXCEPTIONS)
Points will be accrued based on the values assigned below. All competitors
will receive the same number of points regardless of place in race results.
This is not about being the fastest. This is
about showing up and supporting the club, fellow club members and the
sport of triathlon. Show up, race, have fun, earn points.
