We are a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide an outlet for Chicago area triathletes to grow their athletic abilities and develop friendships through tri-athletic endeavors and meaningful social contact. Our members include novices looking for support before completing their first triathlon, Ironman veterans, and everyone in between. The club is run by the members; they organize all the activities, social events, clinics, and workouts. Our workout and clinics are geared to multisport athletes of all abilities. Joining the club and getting to know the other members is a great way to introduce yourself to the world of triathlons, meet others who are passionate about the sport, and improve your athletic abilities, all while having fun.

CTC Monthly Meeting
June 2018 Meeting: The Power of Simulated Altitude Training
Join us on at our June meeting on June 6th to learn about training at simulated altitude from Sharone Aharon, owner of WellFit Training Center, and a level 3 certified triathlon coach with over 25 years of racing and coaching experience.
Sharone will be covering how simulated altitude training (training at lower oxygen levels) can increase your aerobic power and sprint ability by 25-35% in four to six weeks.
The meeting will be held at Pizzeria Serio located at 1708 W. Belmont Ave., just west of Paulina, on the second floor. Come for happy hour at 6pm to meet and mingle with other CTCers, followed by the 1-hour clinic starting at 7 pm.
New & renewing members can pick up your CTC member gifts during the 6-7pm happy hour.
CTC At the Races
2018 Chicago Racing Series
The Chicago Racing Series (CRS) are the best local races that CTC members do together as a team. Members can compete with each other at the races while volunteers coordinate logistics such as pre-race meals, meeting points, post-race festivities, and even supplies in case you forget anything! CRS winners will get trophies at our end of the year party!
IMPORTANT: In order to participate in the competition, you must sign up in the “Who’s Racing/Who’s Volunteering” page on the CTC web site ahead of time.
Add your name to the Race Calendar to let other members know what races you're doing, while also earning participation (Racing and Volunteering) points! If you earn enough RAV points throughout the year, you can also win a prize at the end of the year, regardless on how well you do at the races!
Members earn 3 RAV points for racing in CRS races or 1 RAV point for non-CRS races. Members also earn 3-4 RAV points for volunteering in our Volunteer Races or 1 RAV point for volunteering in CRS races.
Are you doing a race that's not already on the calendar? Email Racing Committee at firstname.lastname@example.org with the name and location of the race, date, distance, and link for the race you're doing, and they'll add it! Email at least one week prior the race (earlier is better). Triathlons & Multisport races only, please!
Small Group Clinics
The Newbie program is a series of basic clinics, meetings, and training plans specifically designed to help first time triathletes learn the basics of each discipline within triathlon, as well as a few advanced clinics to help more experienced triathletes complete their first half- or full-ironman.
