Suburban Barrington Rides - Ongoing every Sunday at 8:00 am
The riding season is here and it's time to enjoy the weather. The Sunday Barrington rides happen every Sunday, as long as we have a volunteer leader each week. If you want to get out of the city for a beautiful country ride with rolling hills then please come out.
There is no cost for these rides and all we ask is that your bike is in good working condition and that you are prepared with helmet, spare tire tubes, CO2 and hydration/nutrition. The routes are approximately 38 and 55 miles, but we usually do the 38 miler. Please print out a copy of the bike route cue sheets. Please be prepared to maintain at least a 15 mph pace.
One important aspect of these rides are volunteers to lead the rides. Ideally we would like to have 2 ride leaders, front and back. You can sign up as a ride leader on the CTC Volunteer Sheet.
For more information about this ride or future activities please visit our Group Workouts under the CTC Training Tab.
Muffin Runs - Ongoing Every Sunday
Every Sunday at 9:00 am we meet at the CARA Board (Lakefront Path and Diversey) for an hour long run. All are welcome; we split into a couple different pace groups and meet up for breakfast afterwords. The location is: http://tiny.cc/aHvJm.
This is a fun way to meet regulars while also doing some training during the winter months!
