2013 CRS Competition!
Remember that to be eligible for the CRS as well as RAV points, you must sign up on the Races Page on the CTC web site. The CRS already started with Galena, and you’re only eligible for points if you’ve signed up ahead of time. So sign up now if you’re racing or volunteering!
CRS points will be updated throughout the season, so check back here as the season progresses, to see your standing in the competition! The current points list can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/a54j9e2
Visit the CRS and RAV Page to find out more about the system and how you can win some fancy schwag at the end of the year just for participating and competing with us!
CTC Mid-Year Survey!
We want to know what's important to you so we can serve you better! Please take 5-10 minutes to fill out this short questionnaire so we can get a better understanding of our members! The results of this survey will be used to improve our programming so that it better serves your needs. This could mean simply improving our communications, seeking out new sponsors based on your interests & locations, or changing how our events are run. In any case, we won't know unless you tell us!
Keep in mind that we are a 100% volunteer-run club. So if you have any suggestions that require more manpower than our current volunteers can handle, let us know by replying to this thread whether you can volunteer to spearhead any projects you suggest! Barring that, we just want to know how our current volunteers can improve what they're doing!
Newbie Program, Not Just For Newbies!
Check out all of the fantastic clinics we have lined up for this season. All clinics are free and available to all CTC members (except a minor charge for the pool clinic)...so even experienced racers are welcome!
Many of our clinics have appeal for both newbie and veteran CTC members, as there is always something new to learn about triathlons. So come join our newbies, brush up on your skills and share your experiences, advice and tips for successful racing! Visit the Newbie Program Page for more information about the program, including the full schedule of clinics.
The cornerstone of our program includes a beginner-focused training plan specifically designed for CTC by Well-Fit coach Liz Waterstraat. To sign up for the training plan, register here, and we'll send you the pdf of the plan.
If you'd like more information, email newbies@chicagotriclub.com with questions or requests to be added to the newbie mailing list which included our bi-weekly newsletter!
CTC Group Workouts
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!! Now that the weather is warming up, our general group workouts for the summer are starting! While it's still to early for our group swims, we encourage folks to go on group bike rides as weather permits! To volunteer to be a group ride leader, add your name to the CTC Workout Leaders volunteer sign-up sheet: http://tinyurl.com/ctcvolunteers. We encourage people to go on group rides leaving from the city, and as the weather gets nicer, we'll start meeting up in Barrington as well.
Visit our Group Workouts Page for a full list of group workouts that CTC members and sponsors are putting together!
